Now that you have a list of prospective keywords, let’s see whether shoppers use them in search.

In our example, “morse code necklace” performs well in all three areas. It has over 1,000 estimated average searches and clicks per month, with demand throughout the year and several seasonal peaks.

These metrics help you understand whether there is real shopper interest in a keyword.

Remember! A keyword can sound like a great idea and still have very little demand. On the other hand, high search volume alone doesn't make a keyword a good choice.

At this stage you are not looking for the perfect keyword, you only want to confirm that shoppers are interested in a product like yours.
